Workshop<\/strong> for researchers, engineers, technicians, and IT managers from partner laboratories<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Context<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our three laboratories (IINS, IMN, and BIC<\/strong>) have recently acquired a shared storage server (three ME5 units, each with 1.2 PB of capacity), dedicated to the intermediate storage of research data<\/strong>. This workshop aims to support teams in optimizing the use of this infrastructure, in connection with the challenges of hot storage (user workstations) and cold storage (archives).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Understand best practices in research data management, with a focus on developing a Data Management Plan (DMP) per unit and per project.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Learn about the data retention rules recommended by our governing bodies and GDPR.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Explore the ArchiFiltre tool (CNRS) to facilitate data sorting and archiving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
